Tour the Joslyn Castle
Please note the Castle will not be offering the 10am tour time on Friday, October 11th, and Friday, October 18th.
There are no public tours on Monday, October 14 for Indigenous Peoples Day.
Spring/Fall 2024 (March 1 - October 31):
Sunday at 10am and 12pm
Monday at 10am and 12pm
Thursday at 12pm
Friday 10am and 12pm
Reservations are not required for public tours. Closed on major holidays.
Please note: While the gardens and grounds are always open to the public, the Joslyn Castle building is only open to the public during scheduled tour times and programs. For those with mobility issues, the Castle has a lift located at the rear of the building. Please inform a Joslyn Castle staff member if you require the use of the lift prior to your tour, so we can best accommodate you.

Public Tour FAQ's
What is included in a tour?
Your tour of the Castle includes the main, second and third floor. The tour begins with a ten minute video overview of George and Sarah Joslyn's story, followed by a room-by-room guided tour. The length of the tour is about 90 minutes.
Admission for all Castle tours:
$17 Adults
$15 Seniors, students, and military. A Senior is considered 60 years old or older, and a student is K-12 and University with ID.
Cash, card, and checks are accepted.
Do I need to make a reservation for a public tour?
No, if you attend a regularly scheduled public tour, you do not need to make a reservation. Just show up! There is a limit of 40 guests per tour time.
Where do we go for a tour?
Meet at the front doors of the Castle. The doors will be opened 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour. We get very busy during tourist season, so plan to arrive early and be here when the doors open.
Is photography allowed during a tour?
Yes, snap away! Please no flash photography.
Is there a gift shop?
Yes, our gift shop Carriage Trade, is located in the historic Joslyn Castle Carriage House. The shop is open prior to and after public tours.
Is the tour kid-friendly?
Tours are best suited for school-aged children. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Not recommended for children under 5. Due to the nature of our guided tours, parents of disruptive children may be asked to leave.
Is the Castle accessible?
