Artists were asked to unleash their creativity and skill to bring Edgar Allan Poe's hauntingly beautiful stories to life through visual art. Diving deep into Poe's macabre and mysterious world to find inspiration for their pieces. Exploring themes of love, loss, madness, and the supernatural that are prevalent in Poe's works.
From the eerie atmosphere of "The Tell-Tale Heart" to the melancholy beauty of "Annabel Lee," let Poe's words ignite our collective imagination and were a guide for artistic expression for these phenomenal local and regional artists of all mediums.
They considered the dark romanticism, gothic elements, and psychological depth present in his writing as they crafted their own unique interpretations.
