Member Event: Letterpress n' RailsWest
THIS IS A MEMBERS ONLY EVENT!
We’re excited to invite our shared members of the Historical Society of Pottawattamie County and Joslyn Castle Keyholders to a fun evening of exploration throughout historic Downtown Council Bluffs!
Please be our guest on Wednesday, October 23 from 6pm-9pm as we visit the Firehouse Letterpress AND take an early look at the reimagined RailsWest Museum.
First, we’ll start at the Firehouse Letterpress (622 S. 4th Street) for a tour of the antique printing press operation and the private collection of ephemera, printing blocks, and local history memorabilia of shop owner Larry Richling. Next, we’ll head over to the currently-closed RailsWest Museum for an exclusive peek at the progress on the rehabilitation. You’ll be the first to see the new exhibits and museum layout.
There will be snacks and drinks along the way.
The event starts at 6pm at Firehouse Letterpress, then we’ll move to RailsWest Museum at 7pm.
