Have an Unforgettable Wedding at Joslyn Castle & Gardens

Monday – Thursday: $1900
What is Included?
-An hour of rehearsal time within the week before the wedding; ask for availability
-Use of the first floor of the Castle, entire grounds, and dressing rooms on the second floor
-Set up of the bar structure, tables, and chairs for indoor use
-Set flip in the Music Room to change it from indoor ceremony space to dance floor should you have an indoor ceremony
-Black or white 85 x 85 table linens
-Up to 2 staff members depending on size of party (parties of over 50 require 2 staff members)
-One security guard at entry gate
*Parties with 50 or fewer people in attendance can receive a 20% discount on their rental price.
*You are welcome to use the space for up to 6 hours
*Last call for any indoor event is 10:30 PM and final departure (including clean-up) by 12:00 AM
*Last call for any outdoor event is 8:30PM and event end time is 9:00PM
*All rental timeframes include property arrival time to property departure time, including vendor access and all tear down and clean up.
*Renter will need to provide proof of event rental insurance that covers property damage
A Small Sunday Wedding:
(This arrangement is reserved for celebrations involving 50 people or less)
Sunday festivities bring a certain charm- a lighthearted evening reception is a most delightful affair! Lucky you if a Sunday wedding suits you best; this is what is included:
-Five hours of access to the grounds and gardens beginning at 4 PM and ending at 9 PM
-Use of the main floor of the castle, two dressing rooms on the second floor, and any space on our luscious grounds for the duration of your stay
-On site staff member who is also a trained docent
-Security at the front gate to defer nefarious activities and rogue photo shoots
-Tables and chairs set to accommodate 50 guests
-Black or white table linens for the tables
-Use of our sound system in the music room which becomes your dancefloor
*Renter will need to provide proof of event rental insurance that covers property damage expenses
Turret Elopement: $650
Say “I do” in the tallest turret of the only Castle in Omaha, Nebraska! This is a unique way to tie the knot; far more interesting than the courthouse, and fully devoid of the stress of planning something elaborate and traditional.
The ceremony space is located on the fourth floor of the Castle and is accessed by a discreet narrow staircase on the west side of the ballroom. It is a unique octagonal room painted a historic Paris Green with eight lancet windows looking out onto our Castle grounds that are truly beautiful in any season. The room will be set with 6 chairs for your guests and decorated with our ‘wisteria arch’: a nod to our beloved ‘wisteria window’ on the first floor.
The turret space below where the ceremony is held will be set up for your champagne toast and cake. We will set a table and chairs, and have your bubbly chilling, and sweet treat waiting for you.
This package is exclusively for parties of no more than eight: the couple getting married, and a maximum of 6 guests. The space is yours for one hour.
Grand Hall Elopement: $950
Proclaim your everlasting love in the sumptuous setting of the Grand Hall of the Joslyn Castle! Get lost in the warmth and decadence of Spanish Mahogany woodwork and hand printed historical wallpaper with a golden glimmer!
Your ceremony will take place in front of out gorgeous Edwardian stained glass conservatory windows, and up to 12 guests are welcome to join you. Cake and Champagne will be served in the dining room following the ceremony.
Feel like royalty enjoying your celebratory treats and toast in our gorgeous early renaissance style dining room!
This package is designed to accommodate no more than 14 total people, this includes the couple getting married. The space is yours for one hour.
Included in either elopement package:
- An officiant to perform the ceremony and file your paperwork at the courthouse.
- A small cake to enjoy in the lower turret after the ceremony, vegan & gluten free upon request.
- A bottle of bubbly- either champagne or non-alcoholic organic sparkling cider, amount will be adjusted according to guest count.
- The unforgettable setting of one of Omaha’s most unique historic homes.
(All package elopements require at least three weeks notice to put together.)
*Elopement packages are designed for simplicity; they cannot be modified outside of changing the cake to vegan or gluten free, and swapping bubbly for a non-alcoholic version. if you wish to provide your own officiant you may, but the price will not change.
*Dressing rooms are not provided for these small ventures, show up ready!
*You may bring a photographer if you wish; you can take photos anywhere on the main floor or the grounds, as well as in the turret if that is the package you have purchased.
