Architecture on Tap - Gibraltar, Council Bluffs

Thursday, July 13, 2023
5:30 pm7:30 pm

The Castle & Cathedral District presents Architecture on Tap, a celebration of the historic communities that make Omaha unique.

Architecture on Tap is a happy hour history hang-out happening every Thursday in July! Grab a beer from Infusion Brewing Company, explore the recent restoration projects on the first floor of the Joslyn Castle, then settle in for a low-key lecture presented by a local expert.

This week, we welcome Thomas Emmett, III to share about his neck of the woods, the Gilbraltar neighborhood in Council Bluffs! This is our first time crossing the river for the series, and we're excited to include our CB friends! Mr. Emmett is the former director of the Historic General Dodge House in the Gibraltar neighborhood, and is the incoming director of the Douglas County Historical Society.

Architecture on Tap is sponsored by AO, Old Omaha Vintage Real Estate Team of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, Hanscom Park Studio, and Infusion Brewing Company. We are grateful for the support of Humanities Nebraska and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment.

Doors open to the public at 5:30pm, and presentations start at 6pm.

Space is limited! Registration is $10 and this is a 21+ event!
