Do you dare to open Joslyn Castle’s forbidden doors? Welcome to Bluebeard’s Castle, where every shadow hides a secret, and every door unlocks a new terror! Goth Night DJ Cemetery Gates will provide the soundtrack for your musical descent into madness playing your dark danse favorites for a night inspired by Opera Omaha’s upcoming production of Bluebeard’s Castle.
The Castle beckons you, creatures of the night, for an evening of romance and psychological thrills! Dance to your heart’s desires as DJ Cemetery Gates spins dark wave, industrial, post punk and synth classics. Confess your love to the Castle as you wander the halls opening the doors of the seven forbidden rooms. Each room will fill you with terror! The first one is a torture chamber, the second an armory. The next doors conceal a treasury and a garden… What will Bluebeard’s Castle reveal to you?
Bartender supreme, Matthew Owens of the Green Room is back by popular demand to serve enticing concoctions to fuel your dance and exploration throughout the night! This event is for those who are at least 21 years of age- you will be asked to show your ID at check-in.
Take outfit inspiration from your favorite 70’s cult horror film and dress in your Gothic Operatic best to join our costume contest for an array of coveted prizes!
We do have a coat closet for your convenience, but you will be responsible for any items that you leave within it. Doors open promptly at 9 PM, and you are invited to party heartily until 1 AM! It will be in your best interest to purchase tickets online in advance, this event will undoubtedly sell out! Tickets are $30 in advance, or $40 at the door, should any tickets remain.
