The Castle & Cathedral District presents a solo exhibition of artwork by Dan Crane on display in the Joslyn Castle Morning and Gold Rooms.

Dan Crane turns wood and fabric into vibrant, hard-edge compositions that mix abstraction, figuration, and pop culture. His works reference everything from Sesame Street to the rise of Ai. From the Protestant Reformation to 1990’s Lamborghinis, Crane blends nostalgia, critique, and irreverent humor. Influenced by a wide range of aesthetics and artists (i.e. Ellsworth Kelly, Lucas Cranach the Elder, Jim Henson, etc.), he treats play seriously, creating pieces that are at once precise, chaotic, and delightfully unpredictable.
