\nAbout our Performers:\nKevin Sullivan - Guitar\nFifteen years of
studying the guitar has led Kevin Sullivan to become an in-demand musicia
n in the Omaha music scene.\nKevin received his degree in guitar performan
ce at University of Nebraska-Omaha\, where he studied Classical and Jazz.
An artist with a vision\, Kevin is involved with several projects in Omaha
including Omaha Guitar Trio\, winner of the 2013 Omaha Entertainment and
Arts Award for best Jazz.\nHe has also earned a reputation for being a fre
elance musician\, playing alongside Belles & Whistles\, Marcus Lewis Big B
and\, Broadway Dreams Foundation\, and many more.\nPlaying with many diffe
rent groups and in different genres has given Kevin the ability to create
custom lessons to fit the students need. His teaching philosophy: Help the
student become fluent in the language of music while being comfortable ex
pressing themselves.\n\nAndrew Stickman - Guitar\nAndrew Stickman graduat
ed from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2012 with a Bachelors degre
e in Classical Guitar Performance.\nDuring his time at UNO\, Andrew studie
d Bach\, Villa-Lobos\, Barrios\, Tarrega\, and developed a passion for Rom
antic Music history. In 2014\, his group the Omaha Guitar Trio won an Omah
a Entertainment and Arts award for Best Jazz in 2014 and 2016\, and have b
een nominated for the award every year since their inception.\nSince joini
ng OCM's faculty in the fall of 2014\, Andrew has taught group guitar less
ons at the KROC center\, 5th-8th grade guitar classes at the St. Augustine
Indian Mission school on the Winnebago reservation\, on-site Intermediate
Theory classes\, as well as building up his own studio. Before OCM\, Andr
ew taught privately since 2007 to all ages and skill sets throughout Omaha
.\nAndrew has performed professionally at recitals\, schools\, Universitie
s\, weddings\, funerals\, hospitals\, rock venues\, concert halls\, restau
rants\, musicals\, salon concerts\, and even living rooms\, for audiences
both intimate and casual\, but always enthusiastic. Andrew's noted charism
atic performances have spanned across several styles and genres\, includin
g rock\, flamenco\, classical\, heavy metal\, country\, folk\, and blues.
\nWhile studying classical guitar at UNO\, Andrew still managed to teach\,
sat in as a studio musician for various local artists\, played with multi
ple album-producing rocks bands\, played bass in a touring pop-flamenco ba
nd with his professor Hadley Heavin\, and founded the Omaha Guitar Trio in
2010. OGT has toured across the Midwest and the Pacific Northwest\, givin
g lectures and presentations at schools\, teaching and hosting masterclass
es/workshops\, and performing recitals and salon concerts regularly. Just
recently\, OGT was added to the Nebraska Arts Council's roster of teaching
Artists\, and are now able to spread music education with the voice of th
e guitar to a much larger demographic.\nAndrew's love of music was instill
ed to him by his Father\, who nurtured his musical palate at a very young
age. Andrew played by ear for over ten years before he was compelled to le
arn how to read music and study the proper technique of classical guitar.
